Jax: Here are the key points:
Class is an antagonism in society. Not the only one, but for some people and some moments it appears as the key oppressive dichotomy against which liberation could be mobilized. To understand this -- look at the world through the functions of ownership/management and working/consuming. People participate in capitalism in ways that are part of one or the other -- for some people, both, in various ways.
For those with class privilege, choosing to be part of "side" of those that do the work, stepping into (self-)organizing and (self-)control, this is a profound shift but one that can really happen.
It takes work: "working on our shit", our perceptions and descriptions, yes, but more importantly putting it in heart of our time and energy prioritization.
Details? There are lots of possibilities -- and what side we're truly (spiritually?) aligned with makes a difference. Different ways of "raising" money and offering to support less class-privileged. Different ways of offering time and energy.
"Intellectual workers mobilizing class privilege as duty" can result in continued domination of movements.
Mary: And, some of us, with various relations to class, are given and/or cultivate vision and charisma, with the attitudes and capacities that are prized by "management". This means that, at more or less any moment, in exchange for "selling out" in various ways, we can be relatively wealthy. So we have class privilege, regardless of birth, although many of our relatives are usually also in upwardly mobile positions.
These are gifts, these skills and aptitudes, as Air and Fire are needed in our movements.
And they will run into (wise) resistance as long as we can't all trust that they're being mobilized in ways that are effective at counteracting the patterns of "boss" and "owner" manipulation and dominance.
